Here I come
Walk your fingers slowly up your baby's body from foot to tummy, as you say something like: "One, two, three, four, five, here comes the... tickle!" Your tone of voice means everything in a game like this, and it lets your baby know this is going to be fun.
Teddy's garden
Hold your baby's palm carefully. Trace around the edge of it as you say: "Round and round the garden, like a teddy bear." Walk your fingers up her arm as you say: "One step, two steps..." Then tickle her under the arm and say: "Tickly under there!"
Cheeky mouse
Again holding your baby's palm, trace around it to start this rhyme: "There was a little mouse, and he lived right there [point to the middle of your baby's palm]. But if anybody saw him, he ran... [pause] Tickly under here [tickle under your baby's arm]!" You can do either of these tickling games around your baby's tummy, too.
Is that you?
Look surprised to see your baby and say "Hello! Is your name...? Because if it is, I'm going to give you a... tickle!"
Squeaky pig
End your game of This Little Piggy with a foot tickle as the last little pig cries "Wee, wee, wee... all the way home!"
By repeating the same game your baby will quickly learn to expect what's coming, which will help her enjoy it all the more.
